Easter Bunny Visits P. A. C. E. Head Start
The Easter Bunny visited some children in Hattiesburg a little early this year.
Children attending the P. A. C. E. Head Start Center of Hattiesburg were treated to a visit by the Easter Bunny and he brought bags of goodies and Easter fun with him.
From hunting Easter eggs to tearing into baskets filled with activities and toys, the annual egg hunt was a spirited event. Antonelli College students and faculty delivered over 300 treat bags and conducted an egg hunt consisting of more than two-thousand eggs for the center.
For the fourth year, Antonelli College’s Student Advisory Board has provided this service for the children. “Our students wanted to get involved with the community. They adopted this event and we fell in love with it and the children,” said Karen Gautreau, Antonelli College Hattiesburg Campus Director. “We had so much fun seeing the children enjoy the baskets last year; we just had to do it again.”
Antonelli’s Student Advisory Board members say they will continue to provide this service to the children of
P. A. C. E. Head Start. Monica Harvey, a member of the board, said, “This was my second time visiting for Easter. Just seeing the smiles on their faces makes me happy.”
