PDI’s Black Belt coursework ties directly to ASQ Black Belt exam objectives with examples and simulations that reflect actual experiences of certified Black Belts.
As a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt professional, you can be able to explain Six Sigma philosophies and principles. A Black Belt is expected to demonstrate leadership qualities, be familiar with team dynamics, and delegate team roles and responsibilities. Black Belts should have a solid grasp of all aspects of the DMAIC model in accordance with Six Sigma principles. They should have fundamental knowledge of Lean enterprise concepts and be able to recognize non-value-added elements and activities.

Requirements
Six Sigma Black Belt requires two completed projects with signed affidavits or one completed project with signed affidavit and three years of work experience in one or more areas of the Six Sigma Body of Knowledge. To maintain a Six Sigma Black Belt certification, ASQ requires the credential holder to recertify every three years. To recertify, the ASQ certified professional must earn 18 recertification units (RUs) within the three-year certification period or retake the exam.
A Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence is able to lead and manage process-improving initiatives in a variety of environments from small businesses to multinational corporations.
As a Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, you can organize and lead team projects to set up and supervise customer and supplier relations, strategic planning and deployment initiatives. You can assist with measurement systems to employ organizational improvements.
Upon completion of this certification, you should be able to motivate and evaluate staff, supervise projects and human resources, review financial issues, identify and analyze risks, and use management tools and techniques to resolve conflicts within the organization.

Candidates seeking Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence Certification consist of: quality professionals, engineers, production managers, frontline supervisors, and all individuals including process owners and champions, charged with the responsibility of improving quality and processes at the organizational or departmental level.
Prerequisites
You must have 10 years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence Body of Knowledge
A minimum of five years of this experience must be in a decision-making position, defined as the authority to define, execute or control projects/processes and to be responsible for the outcome. This may or may not include management or supervisory positions. If you've been certified by ASQ as a Quality Auditor, Reliability Engineer, Software Quality Engineer, or Quality Engineer, experience used to qualify for certification in these fields applies to certification as a Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, as long as the 10-year minimum requirement is met.
If you have completed a degree from a college, university, or technical school with accreditation accepted by ASQ, part of the 10-year experience requirement will be waived(only one of these waivers may be claimed):
Degrees or diplomas from educational institutions outside the United States must be equivalent to degrees from U.S. educational institutions.
