Program Overview
The Diploma in Personal Fitness Training prepares students for entry-level positions in the exciting field of Personal Fitness. Graduates may enter their career field in a variety of settings including health clubs, wellness centers, corporate fitness sites, personal training studios, boot camp studios, cruises, resorts, and client's homes to name a few.
The Personal Fitness Training program requires a person that is self-disciplined, dedicated to helping others, and have a passion for fitness and healthy living. This program will educate you about the human body, how it works while exercising, how to safely design and implement effective cardio and resistance programs, teach proper technique, provide guidance, and respond appropriately to emergency situations. Upon completion of the program, you will be able to add your own individual approach in order to consult, assess, educate and motivate your clients to reach their personal health and fitness goals.
At the end of the program, you will visit Las Vegas, participate in a week long hands-on Boot Camp/Seminar featuring fitness celebrities including Jay Cutler. You will participate in scenarios and exercises which will be prepare you to take the NSCA (National Strength & Condition Association), CPT exam, which will conclude your week at boot camp. Therefore, prior to graduating, you may be already recognized nationally as a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer (with successful passing of exam).
