Our Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Administrative Assistant provides a comprehensive curriculum to assist you in finding employment in the medical office field. Our Medical Assistant degree program emphasizes mastering the language of medicine and how it is used in conjunction with the body systems, as well as giving basic overviews in coding, medical math, pharmacology and medical law to prepare you to use your Medical Administrative Assistant degree in or outside of Ohio.

Required paperwork, data analysis, cost control and governmental regulations create thousands of jobs each year that must be filled. Some administrative positions allow crossover with patient care and medical office work. Graduates of the Medical Assistant degree program are prepared for entry-level employment as administrative medical assistants in hospitals, physicians’ offices, nursing care facilities, outpatient care centers and laboratories. Medical administrative assisting graduates will assume job titles such as medical billing clerk, medical records clerk, pharmacy service clerk, medical secretary, medical receptionist and medical office manager.
