Upon earning your Associate degree through our program, you can also prepare for the Ohio state licensing examination, the Mississippi State Board licensing examination, MBLEX and national massage therapy exams.

With our Jackson Massage Therapy degree program, you can start by learning the fundamentals, including body functions, moves and processes. Coursework in our programs is designed to help you learn how to perform massage techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, tai chi, hydrotherapy, body wraps and more. You will also learn about energy work and how energy, or chi, flows through the body.

Formal training in massage therapy is almost mandatory today. Thirty-three states and the District of Columbia regulate massage therapists, and a majority of these states have a requirement of a minimum of 500 hours or more from state-recognized training programs.
