Antonelli Activities

Antonelli College strives to enhance student opportunities to participate fully in the college experience. Below you will find a list of some of the activities available to students at Antonelli. (Available activities vary by campus. Please talk to Admissions about what is available at the campus of your choice.)

Student Organizations

Student organization are an essential part of Antonelli College. They provide students with a variety of opportunities to explore their academic, professional, social, recreational, and community service interests. Student organizations allow students to develop their personal, organizational, and leadership talents in a supportive, challenging and fun environment. Below is a list of some of the student organizations available to students at Antonelli.


Academic:

  • Alpha Beta Kappa Honors Society (ABK)

The only honor society recognizing excellence in the arts, the sciences, the trades, business, and both technical and general studies. It is also the only honor society in America that represents degree-granting institutions, junior colleges, senior colleges, and student-centered private career schools. The fact that an individual is elected to membership in this honor fraternity is claimed to set her or him apart as an exemplar of personal integrity and excellence.

Alpha Beta Kappa places Chapters in nationally accredited institutions which have demonstrated high standards over a period of many years in the education and training of women and men in the numerous fields, trades and occupations essential to modern society. It is the mark of distinction for an institution to be awarded a Chapter of Alpha Beta Kappa . The purpose of the Society is to encourage and recognize superior student academic achievement, character and leadership.


  • Student Advisory Committee (SAC)
    Student Advisory Committee (SAC) is a group of students who are recommended by faculty and staff, then interviewed, and finally elected to represent the student body as a whole. SAC acts as a liason between the students and the faculty and staff, by giving feedback and input on College policy, curriculum, and direction of the college. SAC also represents Antonelli at college and community events.
 

Program Specific:

  • American Association of Medical Professionals (AAMP)
    The American Association of Medical Professionals (AAMP) is made up of Physicians, Nurses, Medical Coders, Medical Transcriptionists, Medical (Clinical) Assistants, Phlebotomists, and Massage Therapists. The mission of AAMP is to bring discipline and uniformity to the growing need for a professionally trained specialist for work in a doctor’s office or a clinic.


  • American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) - interior design students

ASID is a community of people - designers, industry representatives, educators and students - committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing, advocacy, community building and outreach, the Society strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively change people’s lives. Its more than 38,000 members engage in a variety of professional programs and activities through a network of 48 chapters throughout the United States and Canada.

  • Associated Bodywork Massage Professionals (ABMP)

ABMP members include a diverse array of massage, bodywork, somatic and skin care professionals. While "massage therapist" is the title most commonly used by our members, others practice reflexology, neuromuscular and movement therapy, Shiatsu, Reiki, other energy work, or one or more of numerous other practice specialties.

 

  • Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) – IT students

The Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) offers opportunities for Information Technology (IT) leadership and education through partnerships with industry, government and academia. AITP provides quality IT related education, information on relevant IT issues and forums for networking with experienced peers and other IT professionals for nearly 9,000 members. AITP is the Information Technology professional organization of choice for providing leadership opportunities, professional development and personal growth.

  • Graphic Arts Designers Club (GAD)
    The GAD (Graphic Art Designers) Club is a club organized of Graphic Design students from Antonelli College. This club is lead by a student President and Vice President. The club’s focus is to participate and assist with organizing activities within the college as well as supporting and fundraising for community events and activities. Each quarter the GAD Club sponsors many activities in order to promote the awareness of the graphic design department. These activities include student expositions, at which graphic design students display their work for the public. Family, friends and many area graphic design professionals are invited, and students are encouraged to exhibit portfolios of their work as well as their resumes and business cards.

  • Legal, Medical, and Business (LMB) Coalition
    The Legal, Medical, and Business (LMB) Coalition is a student run club for students in any of the legal, medical, and business programs. Members participate in networking and community service events together. Also, LMB gives members further career preparation through activities in their respective professional fields.

  • Phi Beta Lambda (ΦΒΛ)– business students
    Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) is the premier student business association. FBLA-PBL is a nonprofit educational association of students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. Our mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. Members benefit from leadership and training, contact made through networking, and opportunities to apply their knowledge through business-related activities. Specifically, PBL provides opportunities for learning and growth, including competitive events, programs and activities, conferences, and leadership.

  • Photo Geeks (Cincinnati campus only)
    The responsibility to the student members of the Photo Geeks is to enhance classroom education through lectures, trips, tours, and involvement with alumni. As a member of this group we will discover our place among the broadly defined field of imaging.

  • Students Implementing Technology in Education (SITE)
    SITE was developed to bring IT students together as a support group in order to prepare for the A+ and Network+ COMPTIA certification exams. SITE members not only encourage each other through study groups, they also hold fundraisers to raise money to help pay for certification exams. SITE members also participate in community events as well as Antonelli sponsored events.
